Hmm, I wonder why I spend time maintaining my land, making sure my ponds can be fed and drain properly for waterfowl, make sure I cut down invasive weeds and plants, keep the soil free of pests and properly fertilized.

It's the same with certain people online these days bitching about landlords. They have taxes to pay amd have to maintain certain things according to a contract they chose to sign. It's your own fault for agreeing. Renting out properties comes with alot of inherant costs and responsibilities.

Being a good steward of your own land is important if you want citizens to upkeep it. If I was in some other country where some government or group of people could just come in and take it, why would I care or want to invest in it?

There are good and bad tenants but yeah the ones who are on section 8 or getting welfare to pay for the rent and ruin your property are shitty people. Glad I don't have to deal with them and all I deal with is a weekend welder and someone who just wants to store some equipment. Both good people who are hardly around.
